Sarah Guido, MA
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University and have experience working in a wide range of clinical settings, including juvenile detention, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and domestic violence shelters. Through this work, I’ve supported clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, body image concerns, eating disorders, self-harm, substance use, sexual behaviors, and the complex challenges of adolescence and adulthood. My therapeutic style is grounded in an object relations approach, which helps clients understand how early relationships and life experiences shape their current patterns, emotions, and struggles. I utilize a personalized approach in working with adolescents, young adults and adults by incorporating various modalities. In a collaborative, supportive environment, I work with clients to build insight, strengthen resilience, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. As a former collegiate softball player, I bring a unique perspective on the mental health challenges athletes face, including balancing performance, identity, and overall well-being. Outside of counseling, I value movement and balance in my own life through regular visits to the gym, playing sports, and taking long walks. I also enjoy reading and spending time with loved ones who enrich my life. I am looking forward to working with you.
