Cornerstone Therapy & Wellness

MICHELLE CHUNG, LCSW

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I’ve helped many children, adolescents, adults, and families in navigating the challenges of connection with others, finding self-compassion and understanding, and healing the multitudes of pain life can bring. My clinical experience is in the areas of depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relational conflict, family systems and attachment, and faith and spirituality. I was trained in clinical social work at the University of Pennsylvania and utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused CBT, and Attachment Based Family Therapy. I also draw on Psychodynamic and Motivational Interviewing principles in my work.

I believe a safe therapeutic relationship is built through trust, warmth, sincerity, and even some humor and fun. My approach is person-centered and I believe the inherent value and worth of every person. I keep a collaborative and holistic perspective to meet individuals where they are when they come to therapy. I hope to support individuals make meaningful goals and feel empowered and capable of navigating the ins and outs of daily life to reach those goals.
