KOURTNEY PALMER, LCSW

Acceptance and change are key components of learning and growing from life experiences. I believe that therapy takes courage to look inward and reflect on previous life experiences in order to grow and heal from them and gain new perspective and meaning.  I believe in empowering my clients through evidence-based approaches and have primarily used as a framework Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I use an integrative person-centered approach and believe in establishing a safe space to help my clients gain insight into their potential and determine their goals. Most of my clinical work has focused on helping adults and adolescents manage and learn new ways to deal with their anxiety, depression, eating disorders, mood disorders, family issues, substance use issues, and trauma related symptoms. I bring compassion, warmth, and understanding into their therapeutic space and believe in meeting my clients where they are at in their journey.
