KAREN OWENS, PSY.D
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and received my doctorate at Immaculata University. I believe that people have the capacity to foster growth and to find healing. I have had the privilege to walk with clients on this journey of growth and healing by providing both therapy and assessment to individuals. I believe therapy helps a person come to know more of their true self and discover a way forward in life. I work with individuals experiencing trauma, mood disorder, psychotic disorders, ADHD, work/life stress, anxiety, depression and personality disorders. Life is filled with transitions. I have experience in working with individuals navigating various stages of development and change. My approach is integrated and often focuses on understanding how patterns in our life and our past inform current experiences and/or challenges. Both trauma-informed and attachment-informed approaches are central to my work, particularly in developing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I am also trained in the DBT model of therapy. I also provide psychological assessment to adolescents and adults.
