Stacy Shuchter-Gomez, LCSW
You may be feeling stretched thin by the demands of caring for others, whether it is your children, your partner, or aging parents, while also trying to manage your own stress, relationships, and responsibilities. Over time, this can become overwhelming, leaving you feeling depleted, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. You may find yourself putting your own needs last, even as the pressure continues to build. You do not have to carry that alone.
With over 20 years of experience, I work with people navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, caregiving stress, career concerns, and grief and loss. Many of those I support are balancing multiple roles and expectations, often feeling responsible for everyone around them while struggling to find space for themselves. Together, we focus on understanding what is contributing to that stress and creating practical, meaningful changes that help you feel more balanced, supported, and in control.
My approach is warm, thoughtful, and tailored to each individual. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and productive. I integrate cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused approaches to help you better understand your patterns, strengthen coping skills, and improve communication in your relationships. At the same time, we focus on practical strategies you can apply in daily life, so change feels realistic and sustainable.
I also bring extensive experience supporting individuals through periods of transition, including shifts in family roles, identity changes, and the complexities of aging and loss. I work with couples who want to improve communication, rebuild connection, or better understand one another during challenging times. My goal is to help you feel more confident navigating relationships and the responsibilities of everyday life.
At the core of therapy is a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely understood. As our work progresses, many clients experience greater clarity, improved self-esteem, and reduced stress. Over time, therapy becomes a place to pause, reflect, and move forward with greater intention and confidence.
If you are ready to take the next step, I would be honored to work with you.
