Kathy's approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and client-centered. Reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, especially when emotional stress begins affecting daily routines or relationships. Because of this, she creates a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood and respected. She tailors treatment to each individual and works with young children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges.
She also has extensive experience supporting adopted children who experience attachment-related and trauma-related challenges. Many adoptive families face complex emotional experiences, and therapy can provide meaningful guidance during these transitions. Through treatment, children learn to build secure connections, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier relationships with the people around them.
Trauma and EMDR Therapy
Kathy is a Level II EMDR-trained therapist and uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process traumatic experiences. She also uses Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Theraplay when working with children and families. These evidence-based approaches help individuals recover from trauma while strengthening attachment relationships and emotional stability.
Providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care remains central to her work. She stays current with research and best practices in the field. She provides in-person therapy sessions in Wayne and Malvern, Pennsylvania. In addition, she offers secure online therapy for individuals across the state.
Many individuals seek support for anxiety therapy, depression therapy, or trauma-related concerns. Others benefit from the flexibility of online therapy throughout Pennsylvania while maintaining consistent care.
If you, your child or family member are struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or emotional stress, therapy can provide meaningful support and practical strategies for change.
