Sarah Guido, LAPC, MA
I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University and am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. My clinical background spans a wide range of settings, including juvenile detention, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and domestic violence shelters. Through that work, I have supported adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, body image concerns, eating disorders, self-harm, substance use, sexual behavior concerns, and the complex challenges that arise across adolescence and adulthood.
Therapeutically, my approach is grounded in object relations theory, which helps clients understand how early relationships and life experiences shape current patterns, emotions, and struggles. At the same time, I take a personalized and flexible approach to treatment, drawing on different modalities based on each client's needs, goals, and stage of life. Together, we work to build insight, strengthen resilience, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
As a former collegiate softball player, I also bring a unique perspective to the mental health challenges athletes face. Balancing performance, identity, pressure, and overall well-being can be genuinely difficult, and athletic environments often shape self-esteem, relationships, and emotional health in ways that go unaddressed. For that reason, I value helping athletes navigate those demands with greater clarity and support.
Outside of counseling, movement and balance matter to me personally through regular gym visits, playing sports, and taking long walks. Reading and time with loved ones also fill an important part of my life. Most of all, I look forward to working with you.
