Headshot- Kendra

Kendra Underhill, LPC

You may be carrying something that feels heavy, confusing, or difficult to put into words. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you are returning after a break, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and understood from the start.

I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting relationship, because meaningful change often begins with feeling safe enough to explore what is happening beneath the surface. As a result, clients often find that clarity and momentum build naturally over time. Together, we develop practical coping skills so you feel more confident, steady, and capable in daily life.

My approach is person-centered and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while also incorporating a developmental perspective and a trauma-informed lens. Rather than applying a rigid framework, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, strengths, and goals. In other words, the work always moves at a pace that feels right for you.

In addition, I hold certification as a Registered Dance and Movement Therapist, and I value the connection between mind and body in the healing process. Most sessions center on conversation, though I incorporate movement-based techniques when they align with your goals and comfort. Movement is never required, and I always follow your lead.

I also bring extensive experience supporting individuals on the autism spectrum across a wide range of developmental and emotional needs. Throughout our work together, I focus on helping you build insight, develop real skills, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

Kendra Underhill, LPC

My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relational conflict, peer issues, school issues, behavioral issues, addiction, psychotic disorders, attachment issues, mood disorders and general life stressors. I am also highly skilled with helping and working with (ASD) autism spectrum disorder population.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am also a Registered Dance and Movement Therapist. My specialty is mainly to conduct verbal therapy sessions rooted in Person-Centered Approaches and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), utilizing a developmental perspective and a trauma-informed lens. I am also passionate about the healing power and benefits of movement, and it is never required in sessions. It is purely up to the comfort and discretion of the patient. Dance/Movement Therapy is a holistic approach to therapy that involves movement to elicit the mind/body connection, and to support expression and processing of feelings.

I believe that each of us is wonderfully and beautifully made and that we all can grow as individuals. Whether this is your first experience coming to therapy or you’re returning, I look forward to supporting you in this journey.
