Jaclynn Baird, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving Malvern, PA and online throughout Pennsylvania
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families as a case manager, individual therapist, and family therapist, across community, school, and partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings.
As a therapist, I will hold space for your experiences while working alongside you to gently challenge old patterns and behaviors that you feel are no longer serving you. Something I value in my therapeutic approach is meeting clients with authentic compassion while working together to foster a space and relationship where clients can move toward the vulnerability needed for growth and change. I value the whole person and take a holistic approach in my work, with relational repair and healing within a safe community system as core principles of my practice. I also believe that involving and supporting families can be an important part of helping young people create lasting change.
My therapeutic approach is individualized to each client. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel heard, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to move forward. I feel comfortable working with people ages 10 and up addressing challenges related to:
- Eating disorders and body image concerns
- Trauma and post-traumatic stress
- Relational trauma
- Anxiety and chronic worry
- Depression and mood disorders
- Life changes
- Grief and loss
- Peer and relationship stressors
- Family systems issues
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
