Laurie Beson, LCSW

Laurie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy for children, adolescents, and adults at Cornerstone Therapy & Wellness. She offers in-person therapy in Wayne, as well as secure online therapy sessions for individuals throughout Pennsylvania. She works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life stress, and supports them in building healthier, more sustainable ways of coping and moving forward.

Laurie believes therapy is most effective when individuals feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. She creates a warm, compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences without judgment, gain insight into patterns that may be holding them back, and begin to approach themselves with greater self-compassion.

Laurie is trained in several evidence-based approaches. She holds certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), both widely used in treating trauma. She also integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other approaches based on each client's individual needs.
