Ellen Foraker, LPC

With nearly 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a thoughtful, integrative approach to therapy grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic theory. I believe that meaningful change happens when insight, practical skills, and a strong therapeutic relationship come together.

I have extensive experience supporting individuals navigating ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, serious mental illness, forensic histories, and neurodivergence. As a Certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), I offer specialized knowledge in helping clients better understand attention, executive functioning, and emotional regulation while building strategies that translate into everyday life.

I have a particular passion for working with teenagers. I work to create a space where adolescents feel respected, understood, and empowered. My approach balances structure with flexibility, meeting clients where they are while helping them develop healthier coping patterns, deeper self-awareness, and more effective ways of relating to themselves, their peers, and their families.

I also work with adults across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, adjustment difficulties, and general life stressors. I believe that no two people, or paths to healing, are the same. That is why I tailor treatment to each individual, using a warm, steady, and collaborative style that puts the therapeutic relationship at the center of care.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy tennis, birdwatching, reading, and spending time in nature. These interests help me stay grounded and connected, and they reflect the value I place on balance, reflection, and overall well-being.
