DR. MARIA MADDALO, PSY.D.
I am a Licensed Psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience working in various home and school settings. I completed my doctorate in School Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where I obtained diplomate status from the American Board of School Neuropsychology. I specialize in evaluating children and adolescents using a neuropsychological perspective and applying that perspective to learning and performance within the classroom setting. I am passionate about the appropriate assessment and diagnosis of individuals on the Autism Spectrum. I trained in Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-II) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
I use the ADOS-II as part of a comprehensive assessment when Autism is suspected. I understand the social and behavioral challenges involved with Autism across the lifespan and all levels of functioning. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I combine these techniques to provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families with varying needs, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and cognitive/executive function difficulties.
